Coinky ("the App") is a personal finance management app. This policy explains what data the App handles and how.
Coinky does not require an account or login, and does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, camera, microphone, or browsing history.
All financial information you enter — transactions, categories, credit cards, budgets, and scheduled reminders — is stored locally in an encrypted-at-rest database on your device. This data is never transmitted to our servers, because we do not operate any servers that store your financial data. If you enable Face ID / biometric lock, the biometric check is performed entirely by your device's operating system; Coinky never receives or stores your biometric data. If you turn on Backup & Cloud in Settings, a copy of this data is also stored in your own iCloud account, held by Apple under your Apple ID; we have no access to it.
Coinky uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. When you make a purchase, a randomly generated identifier and your purchase/receipt information are sent to RevenueCat to validate your subscription. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or financial data. Coinky may also send RevenueCat a few non-personal app attributes, such as whether you finished the welcome steps and how you added your first transactions, to understand what leads to subscriptions. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy for details.
If you use the "Export" or "Share" feature, the App hands the exported file (e.g., a CSV report) to your device's native share sheet. Where that file goes next (Mail, Files, WhatsApp, etc.) is entirely your choice — Coinky does not receive or see it.
If you use the bank statement import (OFX) feature, the file you select is read locally on your device and only its contents are imported into your local database. It is never uploaded anywhere.
Because all data is stored locally, uninstalling the App or using the in-app "Clear Data" option permanently deletes your financial data from your device. If you turned on Backup & Cloud, a copy remains in your iCloud account until you delete it there. We have no copy to delete on our end.
Coinky is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
This website (not the App) uses Umami, a cookieless analytics service, to count visits and a few anonymous clicks: the App Store button, the language switch and which FAQ questions are opened. It sets no cookies, does not store your IP address and collects no personal data. We only see totals, such as visits per day, referring websites, country, browser and device type. Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to us by email via Web3Forms, which processes them only to send them; they include the text you write and, if you choose to give it, your email address so we can reply.
